ESTABLISHMENT

It was established in the early months of 2017 and it was registered by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies with Reg. No. P.7549/RCS

Both are private school teachers within Lubaga Division who envisioned a cooperative to support their peers’ financial and professional development.

To be the leading provider of financial services to private schools and their employees in Kampala District and beyond.

OBJECTIVES

To transform member schools through saving and credit facilities

To encourage members to develop a saving culture

To create unity among private schools, their employees and directors

To avail credit facilities to members at affordable interest rates

Permanent and well established offices in in Kakeeka zone/cell Lubaga Parish inside Jacaranda Park

It has up to 1,000 fully registered and active members including schools and individuals

Training of Members

CHALLENGES

  1. High operational costs in form of rent, staff salaries, loan disbursement and recovery costs.
  2. High rate of default by borrowers due to Covid 19 effects and hostile economic conditions
  3. Lack of up to date knowledge and information on the side of borrowers
  4. Lack of financial reserves in relation to client requirements
